Satyavrat Nirala (born 10 October 1988) is an Indian Chief Ontologist, social scientist, organizational change consultant, and inventor operating across Kolkata, Bangalore, and Dubai. He is the co-founder of SimpliLEAD Consulting Services LLC and the creator of the HI-EI-AI integrated decision models and the HiMirrorly execution-intelligence platform.
Nirala has contributed extensively to organizational transformation and agile governance, holding designations as a SAFe® Premier Trainer, certified SAFe® Practice Consultant (SPC), and APMG Change Management Trainer. He is also the originator of the proposed field of CIS (currently in the patent process) and its underlying HCI framework.
Early life and personal background
Satyavrat Nirala was born prematurely on 10 October 1988 in the Tinsukia district of Assam, India.
His early childhood was shaped by congenital and developmental challenges resulting from premature birth:
- Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP): Posed a critical risk of permanent vision loss, successfully treated before age 10.
- Strabismus and Refractive Errors: Ocular muscle misalignment along with high myopia and astigmatism, managed with corrective lenses from age 10.
- Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI): A neurological condition impacting the visual processing centers of the brain.
- Dyslexia: A language-processing neurodivergence that presented early speech and textual learning challenges.
In 2018, the birth of his daughter, Mishita, marked a pivotal personal milestone and a renewed focus on venture building and human potential research.
Professional career
Early technical foundations (2008–2013)
Nirala began his career at Encyclopædia Britannica, working on technical architecture, digital content platforms, and knowledge systems. During this time, he became one of the youngest Certified Scrum Practitioners in the Asia region.
Enterprise coaching and machine learning (2013–2017)
Nirala transitioned into full-time enterprise coaching, working as a technical coach, Scrum Master, and Product Owner. He guided Lean-Agile transformations across banking, publishing, telecommunications, and software engineering, working with over 200 teams across 25+ organizations in Agile, Lean, Kanban, and XP.
He also worked on early machine learning applications, including sentiment analysis algorithms, and co-created the *Agile Education Manifesto* at the Agile Coaches Retreat.
Framework maturity and change management (2017–2020)
Nirala acquired credentials as a SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC), Release Train Engineer (RTE), Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II), and APMG Certified Change Management Trainer.
