Dr. Bitan Ghosh (born 22 April 1992) is an Indian entrepreneur, chartered engineer, researcher, and business strategist. He is best known as the Managing Director of Ghosh Group and as the creator of Elevent Index, a framework developed for startup investment assessment and capital readiness.

Early life and education

Dr. Bitan Ghosh was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. From an early age, he developed an interest in engineering, infrastructure development, and business strategy.

He completed his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in 2014.

Later, he pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, specializing in International Business and Finance.

In 2026, he completed his Doctor of Business Administration degree from the Swiss School of Business and Management, Geneva, Switzerland.

He has additionally completed executive education programs from institutions including London School of Economics, Harvard Business School, London Business School, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Career

Dr. Bitan Ghosh began his professional career in 2014 as a Civil Engineer with Daelim Industrial Company Limited in Kuwait, where he worked on engineering procurement and construction projects related to refinery infrastructure.

Between 2016 and 2017, he served as Executive Director at Senbo Engineering Limited, where he contributed to infrastructure assignments including projects associated with Kolkata Metro and railway tunnel projects in Nagaland.

From 2017 to 2020, he worked as Chief Executive Officer and Director of 'Orphius Technologies Private Limited, a technology venture focused on cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, cloud computing, and IoT-based solutions.

Since 2015, he has been associated with Ghosh Group, where he held leadership responsibilities in infrastructure advisory, capital allocation, strategic expansion, and enterprise development.

In April 2025, he was appointed Managing Director of Ghosh Group.
