Dr. Nimish H. Vasoya was born in Gujarat, India, on 17 September 1982. From an early age, he displayed a keen interest in science, experimentation, and education.

He pursued his higher education in Physics and completed his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in 2003, Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in 2006, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics in 2013 from Saurashtra University, Rajkot.

During his doctoral research, he worked extensively in the fields of condensed matter physics, dielectric materials, ferrites, nanomaterials, perovskite structures, solar energy materials, and advanced functional materials. His academic interests later expanded toward educational technology, artificial intelligence, child psychology, STEM education, and Toy Science.

Academic career

Engineering education

In 2008, Dr. Vasoya joined Sanjaybhai Rajguru College of Engineering in Rajkot as an Assistant Professor and Head of the General Department. Over the following years, he held various academic and administrative positions and became actively involved in teaching, research, institutional development, and student mentorship. His work in engineering education focused on strengthening scientific inquiry, innovation culture, practical learning methodologies, and interdisciplinary research among students.

Children's University

In February 2020, he joined Children's University, Gandhinagar as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Balbhavan and Toy Innovation. He also led several initiatives designed to integrate traditional and modern educational tools within learning environments.

In 2024, Dr. Vasoya was appointed Professor and Director of the Centre of Toy Science at Children's Research University, Gandhinagar.
